Mill Neck Services for the Deaf provides personalized support for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing adults—including those with additional disabilities—so they can lead confident, independent lives.
From habilitation and employment training to social support and health access, every program we offer is designed around each person’s unique strengths, goals, and communication needs.
We are part of the Mill Neck Family of Organizations and have proudly served the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community for decades—creating inclusive, person-centered pathways to success across Long Island and beyond.

Meet Donald
From overcoming the challenges of being born Deaf and living with polio to building a nearly four-decade-long career, Donald Mingo is the definition of perseverance. After regaining the ability to walk and discovering his voice through American Sign Language at Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf, Donald went on to become one of the first participants in Mill Neck’s supported employment program. Since 1986, he’s been a beloved, dependable team member at Honda City—where his dedication, positive attitude, and infectious laughter continue to uplift everyone around him. Donald’s story proves that with the right support and a determined spirit, anything is possible.
